Cal Hampton is a friend of Jason's and part of the same circle as Brian Heder. He is most at ease at home, where he spends his time listening in on Coast Guard radio chatter with a beer in hand and several suspicious browser tabs open. Content to stay on the fringes of society, Cal is happy with a quiet, low-key life. His friend Jason, on the other hand, has bigger ambitions, and their diverging outlooks are part of what defines their dynamic.
