GTA 6 Pre-Orders: What to Know Right Now
GTA 6 preorders have been open since June 25, 2026, and with less than three months to go before launch, here’s a clear breakdown of what’s included, what it costs by region, and the deadlines that actually matter.
When preorders opened
Rockstar opened preorders at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, according to Rockstar Newswire’s official announcement, “Pre-Order Grand Theft Auto VI on June 25.” Both the Standard and Ultimate editions have been available since that date, on PlayStation Store and Xbox’s storefront.
What each edition includes
The Standard Edition gets you the base game plus preorder bonuses, and it’s available both digitally and as a physical “code in box” release. The Ultimate Edition is digital only and adds 16 exclusive items threaded through the story, unlocked chapter by chapter: extra vehicles like the ‘95 Grotti Cheetah and the ‘67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, personalized weapon variants for Jason and Lucia, exclusive outfits, a tattoo parlor with over 50 designs created by the artist collective FAILE, several unlockable shops and mod garages, and a special commission from an in-game collector named Wyman, according to Rockstar’s official edition comparison.
Regional pricing
As of a check on the PlayStation Store on August 29, 2026, pricing breaks down as follows: in the US, the Standard Edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99. In the eurozone, including France, it’s 79.99 euros and 99.99 euros. In the UK, it’s £69.99 and £89.99. An upgrade path from Standard to Ultimate is available at any time through the platform store, per Rockstar’s support documentation.
The bonus that expires: Vintage Vice City Pack
Both editions include the Vintage Vice City Pack as a preorder bonus, but only if you order in time. Rockstar’s own store copy is explicit: “Order before November 20 to get the Vintage Vice City Pack at no additional cost.” The pack includes a ‘55 Vapid Stanier sedan with its own garage, vintage outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, and an exclusive weapon pattern inspired by Tommy Vercetti’s iconic shirt from the original Vice City.
A bonus for digital buyers only
Digital preorders also come with one free month of GTA+, which includes a recurring $500,000 GTA$ deposit into your GTA Online character’s account, Shark Cards with a 15 percent GTA$ bonus, discounted GTA Online vehicles, and a rotating library of classic Rockstar titles, according to Rockstar’s official preorder page. This bonus is not included with the boxed physical version.
No disc in the physical box
If you’re planning to buy a physical copy, know this in advance: Rockstar has confirmed that boxed versions “will only contain a download code inside the box to support pre-load on November 12. A disc will not be included in the box.” Preload for digital and code-in-box buyers alike begins November 12, 2026, a week ahead of the November 19 release.
