GTA 6 Leaker's October Ultimatum Ends Without a Build

By ALLGTA World Staff · October 14, 2026

The anonymous account that has been leaking GTA 6 footage since August spent the first half of October escalating, then stopped. On October 14, Cyberleek said it would not release the playable build it had been dangling, because its memecoin never reached the 30 million dollar market value it had set as the trigger. It also claimed to hold the game’s ending and warned of a “dead man’s switch” if anyone moved against it. Rockstar and Take-Two have not commented publicly on the October posts.

As always, ALLGTA World reports on the leaks as a news story. We do not host, link to or describe the leaked footage, and nothing in it should be read as confirmed by Rockstar.

Two weeks, step by step

October 5 to 8: the Extended Leek. A poll opened on the leaker’s website on October 5, and on October 8 a file of about 25 minutes of purported gameplay appeared online, Dexerto reported. Its authenticity has not been independently verified, and Dexerto noted it was unclear whether the same person or group was behind the August leaks.

October 10 and 11: the ultimatum. Cyberleek then promised a full build, with the story mode played to the end, if its memecoin reached a 30 million dollar market capitalisation, roughly 26 million dollars above its value at the time, according to PC Gamer. The message offered Take-Two a way out: release the game on physical discs and apologise publicly. That ties back to the grievance the leaker has claimed since August, Rockstar’s decision to ship boxed copies with a download code and no disc.

October 12: a size claim. The leaker said the build weighs around 200 GB and that each market milestone would trigger a new clip the next day, Dexerto reported. Nothing about that file has been verified by anyone outside the leaker.

October 14: The End of the Road. In a statement posted on its now defunct website and preserved by a fan account on X, Cyberleek said the build would not be released since the target was missed. It said it holds the ending but will keep it unpublished, and that a dead man’s switch for story spoilers would only fire if someone removed the leaker. It also defended the coin as a donation rather than an investment and denied a rug pull, PC Gamer reported. Coverage of the coin’s collapse gives different figures, so we do not repeat them.

The only official reaction to this leaker so far dates from August. Rockstar called the first leaked clips heartbreaking for its team, issued takedown notices, and Take-Two filed subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord to identify the people behind them. Our report on Rockstar’s response has the details.

Do not confuse this with ShinyHunters, the extortion group that claimed a breach of Rockstar data through a third-party vendor in April. Dutch police arrested an alleged leader of that group in September; no authority has linked it to Cyberleek, as our article on the arrest explains.

A word of caution

Anything offered online as a downloadable GTA 6 build, whether on a torrent site, a Discord server or a social post, is unverified at best and a classic way to spread malware at worst. The real thing is five weeks away. If you want to avoid story spoilers until then, be careful with search results and video recommendations on GTA 6 over the coming weeks, since leaked clips keep resurfacing despite takedowns.

Nothing changes for the launch

None of this has moved the release. GTA 6 arrives on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, as our release date guide tracks. If you want to know what a boxed copy actually contains, our pre-order explainer covers it.
